Day 1 - Pick up and briefing |
Reception of the clients in Lisbon/Cascais and transfer to Ericeira.
Briefing and delivery of support material at the hotel.
A traditional fishing village, Ericeira developed a lot during the 20th century, due to the growing demand in the Summer season, as a beach escape to the busy city life! Only around 50km from Lisbon, and with easy access, its beaches are some of the most popular amongst the locals; being also known for the practice of surf, including one of the Surf World Championship competitions. A walk through Ericeira is also a great opportunity to taste the many seafood dishes and fresh fish, the region's specialty.
Places to visit: Ribeira D'Ilhas viewpoint, centre of the village, eat a cake at Pão da Vila, all the beaches you will visit tomorrow during your hike

Continuing along the coast keep your eyes opened, as there are a few tiny beaches in between the rocks. Those, given its different formations, tend to be really pretty! Your next point of interest will be the Santa Maria Fort, right before getting to another one of the most known beaches - Magoito Beach. Magoito Beach is the perfect spot to take a dive.
After, you will be at the Aguda Beach, that keeps on going for a while. Walk right beside it; this path will take you to a small fishing village - Azenhas do Mar. Explore the village and stop at its viewpoint - Miradouro das Azenhas do Mar. While in Azenhas do Mar enjoy to sit down and grab a coffee, while contemplating this beautiful village.
The next stop is Praia das Maçãs (Apple's Beach). Althought it is not the prettiest one, Praia das Maçãs is one of the most requested ones in the summer time.
Don't worry, we are almost done! Before reaching the end point of this long day, take some pictures at a small but beautiful beach, Praia Pequena do Rodizio. The extensive and wavy beach you see next is Praia Grande (Big Beach), and this is the last spot of the day! Due to its waves and windy weather this beach is extremely requested for surfers and windsurfers! Go for a swim but be attemptive to the waves. This beach is for the brave!
Now its time to enjoy the sun, some food, and get some rest for tomorrow!
