Cycling and Walking - Alentejo 

Cycling and walking program along the beautiful Alentejo coast with its exuberant landscape and  picturesque villages. Meet the people and their renowned hospitality. Take part on this scenic 6-day trip and enjoy the amiable climate and the top-quality gastronomy while you adventure yourself in this challenge that will be an excellent and unforgettable personal experience.

The tracks are located in the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Nature Park. It is a protected area with vast white sand beaches, several smaller beaches in the cliffs and typical fishing harbors. The beautiful landscape has a diversified flora and fauna being an elected place for many birds species.

From Lisbon Airport

Take the metro at Airport Metro Station to Sete Rios Metro Station

At Sete Rios Metro Station there is a connection to the BUS


Upon arrival the participants will receive maps and support material.

 Day 2 -  Walking - Vila Nova Milfontes to Almograve - Fsherman´s trail

 From Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve

This is a day to purify your soul thanks to the overwhelming views over Vila Nova de Milfontes and the Mira river that meets the ocean here. It is a short and accessible hiking day so that you may enjoy the area to its fullest extent. 

POI: Vila Nova de Milfontes; Almograve Beach; Milfontes Lighthouse

Distance: 15 km - Ca. 5 hours

Accumulated climb: 90 m  Accumulated descent: 120 m

Level:  Easy

 Day 3 - Cycling Vila Nova de Milfontes to Brejão  50 Km

This day will be spent entirely within the Costa Vicentina Natural Park. We will go through different types of landscape with different points of interest like Cabo Sardão the only place in Europe where Storks build their nests on the beach cliffs.
The night will be spent at Brejão or in Odeceixe village

Cabo Sardão (Lighthouse and the Storks) – Porto das Barcas – Zambujeira do Mar – Praia do Carvalhal

 Day 4 - Walking Brejão/praia da Amália to Odeceixe 12 Km + Yoga session

Early morning Yoga session to prepare your walking day

You will start at Amália beach on the way to Azenha do Mar, where you will find a natural fishing harbour. To top it all enjoy one of the most outstanding views in the entire territory: Odeceixe beach seen from the majestic Ponta em Branco.

 Day 5 - Cycling Brejão - Zambujeira do Mar - Brejão 34 Km + Yoga session

Late afternoon Yoga session 

Distance: 34 km - Level: easy
Highest point: 100 m - Lowest point: 0 m

Today our destination is Zambujeira do Mar and is beutifall beach. To arrive there you will cycle 17 km amidst agriculture fields overlooking the ocean. On the way back always in the company of the sea, we will visit the “Carvalhal” Beach. 

 Day 6 -  Lisbon

Transfer to Santa Clara train station and from Santa Clara to Lisbon (2.5 hours)
